From December 26th to 27th, 2020, Nanjing Electric Insulator Co., Ltd. will be held in Nanjing Electric for 55 and 30 years of operation of glass insulators. The LXP-60 glass insulators produced by Nanjing Electric Insulator Co., Ltd. (formerly Nanjing Electric (Group) Co., Ltd., formerly known as Nanjing Electric Porcelain Factory) have been operating on the 220kV Jixi-Boli line for 55 years. The LXP-100 and LXP-160 glass insulators have been operating at 330kV. Jinzha has been in operation for 30 years. After sampling, they were sent back to the company. In order to evaluate the electromechanical performance of the three glass insulator products after long-term operation, test verification was carried out.

The product test verification meeting will be held in the company's No. 3 meeting room. At the meeting, the company's leaders first gave a speech, welcoming all representatives to the meeting and introducing the development history of glass insulators. The representative of Ankang Power Supply Company reported on the construction of the 330kV Jinzhu first line and the operation of glass insulators in the past 30 years. The representative of Jixi Power Supply Company failed to attend the meeting due to the epidemic and reported the 55-year operation of the glass insulator on the 220kV Jibo line through video. The annual operating self-breaking rate of the glass insulators of the two lines is stable at the level of ten thousand points. The representative of the Insulator Quality Inspection and Testing Center announced that the results of the sampling test of the three sampled glass products have reached the technical requirements of the national standard. The representative of the manufacturer gave an explanation on the case of more than a thousand test data of 42 samples (900 pieces) of 19 lines (110kV~500kV running on-line 900,000 pieces) over the past 40 years.

During the discussion at the meeting, the representative of the China Electric Power Research Institute spoke first and spoke highly of Nanjing Electric for decades of online operation sampling of glass insulators in accordance with the national standard for verification tests. This consistent persistence is commendable and is also one of the domestic insulator manufacturers.

Participants agreed that the three glass products sampled this time, LXP-60, LXP-100, and LXP-160, were developed and produced by self-reliance against the era of technological blockade. The products are lacking and imperfect, but their quality level reaches the current level. The technical requirements of the national standard are worthy of praise, especially the three demonstration tests of heat engine, steep wave, and strike successfully passed the test, so that power users can continue to use it with confidence. The delegates praised Nanjing Electric for conducting long-term product performance tracking tests and quality analysis for more than 50 years, which embodies the company's spirit of being highly responsible for product quality and power operation safety.
